Care for Newcomer Children

On-site childcare is available for children between 6 months to 12 years old.

After-School Program

We provide fun activities throughout the school year for children (5-12 years) with parents in language classes at MCAF.

Homework Clubs/Tutoring

Homework Clubs are delivered in various schools and communities in Fredericton throughout the course of the academic year.

Summer Camps

The Rainbow of Cultures Summer Camps are held every summer at MCAF for 6 weeks. Hundreds of children have participated, making friends and learning new things.

Music Classes

Music classes meet multiple times a week and include guitar, piano, and music theory lessons.

Sports

We regularly schedule sports for newcomer children and youth including soccer, skating, tennis and more.

Employment

Our Employment coaches guide newcomer youth as they look for jobs or further education.

Scholarships

The Newcomer Scholarship Fund assists newcomers to Canada in their post-secondary studies.

SWIS

The MCAF Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) offer settlement services to newcomer students and their families.

PLF

Program Liaison Francophone provides support to newcomer children and youth in francophone schools.

Support

The Newcomer Youth Case Manager supports and accompanies youth to access programs, services and resources.

Buddy Up!

Matches newcomer youth aged 14-21 with university and college students who provide mentorship, friendship and support.
