Newcomer Computer Learning Center (NCLC)


The Newcomer Computer Learning Center (NCLC) provides newcomers with:

  • • Access to computers with high-speed Internet, computer applications and English/French tutorials;
  • • Basic computer training including using e-mails, e-mail etiquette, Internet search techniques, safety procedures for on-line banking and sharing sensitive information, photo editing, and Microsoft Office;
  • • Specialized computer training for students participating in language classes at MCAF;
  • • Use of fax machine, photocopier, scanner, CD burner, printer, and free telephone calls via the internet;
  • • Computer maintenance assistance;
  • • A yearly Income Tax Program Clinic for eligible newcomers, which e-files reports to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) during March and April every year. Video
