Newcomer Computer Learning Centre

The Newcomer Computer Learning Centre (NCLC) provides newcomers with free access to computers, internet, computer training, typing tutorials and regular practice.

To access training and services at the Newcomer Computer Learning Centre, complete the Settlement Intake Form, or visit us at 28 Saunders St., Fredericton.

Digital Literacy Training for Newcomers (DLTNC)

DLTNC offers basic computer skills to newcomers including spreadsheet and presentation software, internet and email knowledge and skills, as well as basic computer knowledge and troubleshooting skills. 

Canadian Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP)

CELPIP provides a language proficiency test and the document required to apply for Permanent Residency and Canadian Citizenship.

MCAF is registered with Paragon Testing Enterprises as one of the CELPIP testing locations in New Brunswick and the only one in Fredericton.

Work Permit Holders and employed permanent residents, who can’t participate in a regular ESL classes due to their employment schedule, can take this recognized language proficiency test.

Income Tax Clinics

NCLC hosts a yearly Income Tax Clinic for eligible newcomers with volunteer support in multiple languages to e-file with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) during March and April every year.
