YouTech NB –Empowering Youth Across New Brunswick through Digital Skills
YouTech NB is a province-wide digital skills initiative aimed at preparing New Brunswick’s K–12 students and educators for a tech-driven future. Funded by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) under the CanCode 4.0 program, YouTech NB delivers training in coding, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and data analytics. This bilingual, inclusive program empowers youth while supporting underrepresented communities across the province.
In partnership with local schools, libraries, community organizations, and settlement partners, YouTech NB supports students in building future-ready skills and promotes equitable access to digital learning opportunities.
YouTech NB ensures that all students, especially those from underrepresented groups—including newcomers, girls, Indigenous youth, Black youth, students with disabilities, and rural communities—have access to engaging, hands-on digital training experiences.
Who Is It For?
- Students (K–12): Hands-on workshops by grade level in coding, robotics, AI, and data.
- Educators & Community Trainers: Professional Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions to build lasting capacity.
- Communities: Focus on equitable access for rural regions, newcomers, girls, Indigenous and Black youth, and students with disabilities.
How It Works
We deliver training in a flexible, mobile model designed to meet learners where they are.
- 📦 Mobile Digital Labs: Four labs across NB provide access to tech and training.
- 🧑🏫 Self-Paced & Live Training: For both students and educators.
- 🤝 Local Partnerships: With schools, libraries, community centers, and newcomer organizations.
